Title of the Study : The Adjustment of Students from Face-to-Face Learning to Modular Learning
Name of Researcher:King Jhames Manganaan
Strand/Section:HUMSS

Describe the alignment of your study in the Research Agenda:

This research attempted to determine and identify the adjustments of students from face- to-face to modular learning. Primarily, the focus of this research is on understanding the adjustments of students from face-to-face to modular learning and its importance to the students and teachers to help them cope during this new learning system. The study is delimited this way to prevent confusion and to stabilize focus on the main objective of the research study.

Part 1: INTRODUCTION

Briefly describe the research problem:

For the longest time, most students are used to going to school, sat down with their classmates, and listening to the teachers to learn. Going from that to modular learning would take some getting used to for most if not all students. They have to make adjustments and get through different kinds barriers to properly adapt to their new way of learning. This study seeks to determine and identify the adjustments of students from fac-to-face to modular learning.

State the purpose of the study including the audience who will benefit from it:

This study compared the effectiveness of online and modular vs. traditional instruction in an environmental studies class.

The findings of this research will prove useful to the following entities:

Researcher. The researcher will be able to seek out, identify and explain further the major adjustments of the students from face-to-face to modular learning.
Learners. The learners will be able to have a clearer knowledge and information and perhaps insights about those adjustments from face-to-face to modular learning.
Parents. Parents will be able to know what kind of approach to do in terms of guiding their children in helping their children cope with the adjustments.
Teachers. The teachers will be able to know what kind of strategy to be used in terms of providing guidance for the students in teaching the students.
Future Researchers. Future researchers will be able to understand more deeply the importance and the benefits of having enough knowledge about the adjustments of students from face-to-face to modular learning.

State the Research Questions:, This paper aims to answer the following research questions:

1. What are the disadvantages of the adjustments to the learning of the students?
2. What are the benefits of the adjustments to the students?
3. What are the impacts of the adjustments to the students?

State the research hypotheses:

The following hypothesis were formulated to guide this study:
Ho: There is no significant disadvantages of the adjustments to the learning of the students.
Ha: There are significant disadvantages of the adjustments to the learning of the students.
Ho: There is no significant benefits of the adjustments to the students.
Ha: There are significant benefits of the adjustments to the students.
Ho: There is no significant impacts of the adjustments to the students.
Ha: There are significant impacts of the adjustments to the students.

State the theory you will subject to a test in this study:

This study sought to compare online and F2F (face-to-face) teaching on three levels—pure modality, gender, and class rank. Through these theory, we investigated whether one teaching modality was significantly more effective than the other. Although there were limitations to the study, this examination was conducted to provide us with additional measures to determine if students performed better in one environment over another

Describe the type of literature review you will do:

Related Literature

A. Foreign Literature :

Foreign literature studies concerns the comprehensive research of literature in the language of the country it was written in that includes the study of the regional and historical circumstances in which it was written.
Studies in international literature include systematic literature work in the language of the nation in which it was published that involves the analysis of the geographical and historical circumstances in which it was published.

B.Local Literature:

Collections of materials related to a specific geographic area, usually the community in which the library is located. Such materials are often used in historical and genealogical research. These are already conducted research or reviews related to the present report. Typically, these are secret documents such as notes, theses, and dissertations carried out in the Philippines and other academic publications

Part 2.  METHOD

State the research design and explain why it is appropriate for this study:

For the realization of the aims of this study, Descriptive Research design was utilized. Descriptive Research design aims to obtain information to systematically describe a phenomenon, situation, or population. This design is appropriate in the study because the study seeks to examine the adjustments of the students from face-to-face learning to modular learni

Describe the Study Site and Participants:

The location of this study is in Aurora Senior High School, Aurora Isabela. Due to the restriction of the pandemic, the respondents will be gathered through their social media account mainly messenger to gather the information that we need. The respondents included the students at Aurora Senior High School. There will be a total of 30 participants in the study.

Describe the population size, sample size, and the method used in determining the sample:

In this study, the respondents included the students at Aurora Senior High School. There will be a total of 30 participants in the study.
The sampling method that we will use in the selection of participants is simple random sampling. This refers to selecting participants using a roulette wheel to choose 30 random individuals who are given an equal chance to be selected. In this study, students at Aurora Senior High School who encountered any adjustments from face-to-face to modular learning.

Describe the Data Collection:

The questionnaire inputs and data of the respondents was analyzed through the following statistical tools.
1. Weighted Mean. The weighted mean will be used to describe the general perspective of the participants on these parameters in the tools that will be used.
2. Frequency and Percentage. This will be used to show the number of youths who will answer every item in the questionnaire. This will also be used to get the number and proportion of respondents who provided the same answers to the different categories.

 Instrument/ Materials:

The questionnaire will be used as the main data gathering instrument. The instrument to be prepared focused on answering the statement of the problem. The adjustments of students from face-to-face learning to modular learning. The questionnaire contains of fifteen (15) questions. The questionnaire will be distributed to the respondent using messenger. The data gathering instrument was graded on a scale of one to four. Where (1) means severely disagree, (2) means disagree, (3) means agree, and (4) means highly agree. This legend will aid researchers in analyzing the results of data collection.

Describe the Data Analysis Procedure:

There researcher will make use of Questionnaire. This refers to a research instrument consisting of a series of questions for the purpose of gathering information from respondents. The data gathering instrument will be made by the researchers guided by the set parameters to obtain pertinent data inclined with the purpose of the study. The data gathering instrument is composed of 2 sets. Set A questions include the demographic profile of the participants composed of their name, age, track and strand, grade and section, and gender. Set B is about the adjustments of the students during the modular learning.
The researchers sought for the assistance of educational experts to validate the research instruments. Modifications in the instruments was made basing from the feedbacks and recommendations from the experts.
Upon the approval and validation of the research instrument, the researchers will seek permission to the participants. A letter of request for consent to administer the study to the participants was given. They were informed about the study’s purpose, content, duration and potential risks and benefits.
The administration of the questionnaires will be given using social media and google form.
